Saturday Date Movies

So what are you doing this weekend? Are you doing some house work? Enjoying a quiet day? Getting to some chores that you’ve had to neglect all week? Maybe you’re going to go to the mall and wander around? Thinking about going to see a movie? Saturdays are a great day to take your spouse out for lunch and a movie.

If you have kids, Ice Age 2 can be a great choice for the two of you to spend time together with your children. A lunch out can be a great way to touch base with each other, encourage conversation with each other and talk about the movie that you watched together.

Around here, there are great theaters where you can go and have a meal while you are watching the film. That lets you combine lunch and movie together. If packing the whole family off to the theater is not a good plan for you, then go to the video store. You might pick up Chicken Little, which was as humorous for adults as it was for kids.

If you’re looking for a more romantic comedy type movie – what about a triple feature of The Wedding Date, The Wedding Planner, and My Best Friend’s Wedding! Want a more action-oriented feast? The Legend of Zorro might be a good call or for the more musically inclined, check out Chicago or RENT.

Movie dates can be a lot of fun for you and your spouse as well as your whole family. A favored activity around here on Saturdays is to grill up some meat on the barbecue along with some baked potatoes and then put on a movie that we as a family elected to watch. After the midget is down for a nap or for bed, we’ll watch a movie of our own. Board games are fun too – anything that has us sharing space, time and conversation is good goal.

What are you doing this weekend?
