What would Christmas be without taking a moment to celebrate with Curious George? He’s almost as much a tradition as Santa Claus!
The man with the yellow hat has taken George to the Christmas tree farm to pick out the perfect tree. They’re all lined up, like in the jungle, and George quickly climbs to the top to get a better look. He jumps from tree to tree, looking for just the right one. How many trees are at the farm? They seem to go on forever! He is sitting near the top of one of the tallest ones when suddenly some men come along with a saw and cut down the tree he’s in! They load it into the back of a truck and drive away. The man with the yellow hat sees George and follows after in his own car.
The truck takes the tree, and George, to the children’s hospital. George wanders around and finds all sorts of wonderful things – x-rays, crutches, doctor’s coats. He sees the room where they have set up the tree, but it hasn’t been decorated yet, and it looks all wrong. He scampers around the hospital and decorates it George-style – with bandages, crutches, and x-rays. It’s pretty festive.
The children are delighted and ask if George can stay for the Christmas party. The nurse is upset by the mess, but she agrees, and George helps string the lights. When Santa Claus arrives with a shiny star for the top of the tree, George is able to place it on top of the tree.
The man with the yellow hat comes to get George, and the children are sad to see him go, but they agree that he’s the best Christmas tree decorator they’ve ever seen.
