At least that’s what some family law experts maintain, especially after someone from the Los Angeles police department leaked details contained in the report chronicling the events that unfolded the night the derailed popwreck caused pandemonium in the City of Angels last week.
According to news reports, when Spears and her ex Kevin Federline square off in court next week for yet another custody hearing, police officers, firefighters and paramedics who responded to Ms. Meltdown’s home on January 4th will testify.
And let’s just say what they will be talking about will NOT help Brit one bit.
TMZ.com is reporting that the police report details a deeply disturbed Spears involved in a series of incidents that included profanity, nudity, and wild mood swings (possibly due to prescription medication).
TMZ sources say when officers arrived at Casa de Chaos Britney was locked in the master bathroom with her 1-year-old son Jayden James. Officers say they saw Spears from a window holding Jayden, who did not appear to be upset. But when cops tried to persuade the messed up mom to hand over her child she refused to budge.
According to police sources, when Britney did emerge from the bathroom all she was wearing were her undergarments. Sources also allege that Spears was incoherent and continuously screamed profanities at the responding officers. Witnesses on the scene (according to the police report, Brit’s assistant and the children’s nanny were present during the standoff) say Spears moods swung wildly from laughter to rage to sobs, and at one point the 26-year-old former Mouseketeer reportedly told cops, “You will do as I say.”
The police report also alleges that officers found a bottle of Prozac in Spears’ bedroom and that her assistant revealed that Britney had been “popping pills” all day. Police also reportedly took a statement from Brit’s pal Sam Lutfi who arrived on the scene mid-way through the standoff. Lufti allegedly told officers that he and the others around Britney “knew this was coming for a long time,” but didn’t know how bad it would be.
Complete details of the report will be released on Monday. At that time a judge will decide if or when Britney will be reunited with her sons. According to Federline’s attorney, if the court decides on Monday to further suspend Spears’ visitation rights, the singer may not see her sons until April, when the ex-couple’s custody trial begins.
K-Fed currently has sole legal and physical custody of sons, Preston, 2, and Jayden, but that could change come Monday. Though experts doubt it will. Family law attorneys not affiliated with Spears’ case say there is a very good chance that Britney could be denied custody even after April’s trial, especially if her erratic behavior continues.
