Visiting Paris on a Budget

If you love Paris in the springtime… or anytime, but don’t want to mortgage your house to pay for the trip you are in luck. Hotels across the City of Lights are offering unbelievable bargains right now. However, there are a few catches: Rates are available on a first-come, first-serve basis; the offers is only good through February and space is limited. Still, the deals exist if you are willing to make the trip across the pond.

Hotel du Louvre

This four-star property is not only dripping with history; its amenities and location cannot be beat. I’m not exaggerating about its historic value. Napoleon III inaugurated the hotel in 1855. Back then it was described as “a palace of the people, rising adjacent to the palace of kings.” The hotel is situated across the street from the Louvre and despite its age it offers modern day amenities inside each guest room. Rates through the end of February have dropped down to $330 per night if you book through Hotels.com.

Burgundy Hotel

This hotel is another property that puts you near Paris’ most photographed attractions. The Burgundy Hotel is a historic 19th-century building that sits just steps away from Champs Elysées. The former mansion has been renovated multiple times (it began as two adjacent townhouses in the 1830s) and is now a popular spot for tourists to rest after a long day of sightseeing. If you are looking for lodging in Paris that features exquisitely decorated units and a plethora of amenities for under $300 this is the hotel for you. Currently, the Burgundy Hotel is offering rooms for as little as $288 per night.

Comfort Inn Sacré Coeur

If you are visiting Paris for the first time and plan to spend much of your time hitting the city’s hot spots then this is the hotel for you. At $81 per night the Comfort Inn Sacré Coeur is an unbeatable option in the heart of chic Montmartre (one of the city’s most fashionable neighborhoods). For that price you get a clean, no-frills room that offers incredible views of the city through large windows. Each unit also comes with a spotless private bathroom and the usual selection of basic amenities. And as an added bonus the whole building is wireless.
