Disney’s Presidents Day Fastpitch Open

Disney’s Presidents Day Fastpitch Open is being held from February 16 through February 18, 2008, at Disney’s Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida.

This is a special weekend celebration of the great American sport. The event is open to age divisions 10U, 12U, 14U, 16U, and 18U. The entry fee is $400 per team and includes:

* Major League quality field maintenance and game field preparation

* Roundtrip bus transportation for teams staying at Disney’s All Star Sports Resort to Disney’s Wide World of Sports Complex each day.

* Two umpires per game

* Athletic trainers

* Announcers and scorekeepers for each game

* Water fountains or ice water in each dugout

* New Diamond game balls for each game

Diamond Sports is the official ball of Disney softball and will be awarding the top finishing teams in each division Diamond Sports equipment.

All games will be played at Disney’s Wide World of Sports Complex unless too many teams register to be accommodated at this one venue. If there are that many registered teams, some games will be played at local Disney approved off-site fields.

In addition to the registration fee, teams are expected to stay at a Walt Disney World resort for a minimum of three nights and participants are expected to purchase a two day Magic Your Way Ticket with Park Hopper option and length of event admission to Disney’s Wide World of Sports Complex. All team accommodation and ticket arrangements need to be made with Disney Sports Travel.

Disney’s Magical Express, a complimentary shuttle and luggage delivery service will transport teams and other guests from the airport to their Disney hotel. For more information about Disney’s Magical Express, please contact 1-866-599-0951.
