Britney Reunited with Sons

Score another one for Britney Spears’ dad.

The man who the troubled singer has publicly called a “bully” and once said she “can’t stand to be around” has come to her rescue—yet again.

This time Jamie Spears, the temporary co-executor of her estate, helped get lawyers to hammer out a deal so the trainwreck could see her two sons for the first time in nearly two months.

On Saturday Britney was finally reunited (briefly) with 2-year-old Sean Preston and 1-year-old Jayden James–her sons with ex-husband Kevin Federline.

The last time Britney saw her boys was the night of January 3rd, when she got into a custody stand-off with police and ended up in the hospital on a psych hold. Since then she has been readmitted and then released from another mental health facility and ordered to stay away from her children.

That is until daddy dearest found a way to convince Fed-Ex to allow the pop wreck to see the couple’s young sons again.

According to Federline’s attorney, “Jayden and Preston will once again enjoy participation of their mother in their lives.” In other words Brit’s attorneys and Federline’s legal team apparently found a way to pound out a visitation arrangement that both parties could agree to. (Federline was granted sole legal custody and sole physical custody of the boys shortly after the 26-year-old former Mouseketeer was initially held in the psych ward back in January.)

Yesterday Preston and Jayden were reportedly driven by Federline’s bodyguard to Spears’s Studio City home where they spent three hours with their mom before being whisked back to their dad’s home.

According to news reports, Britney’s father and her psychiatrist were present for the visit, though there’s no word on when the singer will be able to see her sons again.

Still, most sources are crediting Spears’ father with giving the singer the chance to see her kids at all. Even Federline’s attorney gave props to Jamie saying that it is only because he has taken charge of Britney’s life that she had visitation rights restored.

And while three hours might not seem like much it is better than not seeing the boys until April.
