The season for wedding planning is here. Many weddings take place during the summer months. Therefore wedding plans are usually in full force by spring.
For some people, or should I say for some brides, planning a wedding is a very serious and tedious job. While all brides want a successful and beautiful wedding, some are almost obsessed with its perfectness.
When planning a wedding there are many things to be decided upon. One such factor is the flowers.
There are two major choices when it comes to wedding flowers, silk or live. After that major decision is made, smaller decisions must be considered.
There are advantages and disadvantages to both silk and live flower arrangements at weddings.
While live arrangements can be very attractive, they can also take more time and work.
When considering which you will have you need to think about the time of the year that it is and what type of flower you are wanting for your wedding. Some live flowers are not available during certain seasons of the year. If you can find a florist to order the flowers for you they may be poor quality or very expensive.
You must also consider the time span. Live flowers cannot be arranged in advance. If you plan on doing the flower arrangements yourself, you may want to consider silk flowers. This will make your wedding day much less stressful and the flowers can be arranged months in advance.
Another thing to consider is your bridal bouquet. If it is important to you to keep your bouquet, then a silk arrangement is a must. Silk arrange bouquets are also lighter to carry. Live arranges can be heavy.
If you plan to have live bouquets for you and the bridesmaids you need to make sure that you have a cool place for storage. You do not want the arrangements wilting before the ceremony.
