Why not? Everyone else is… or has…
While I realize there are many of you who would rather not even see the name Britney Spears let alone have it attached to something you wear, know this: it’s helping the environment.
Yes, you can help save the planet by shelling out a few bucks to own clothing items worn by the pop star during her recent guest appearance on CBS’ “How I Met Your Mother.”
About a half dozen items of clothing (how many scenes does she have anyway) will be auctioned off to benefit the Natural Resources Defense Council.
The auction starts Monday night right after the episode starring Spears airs.
According to show producers (the people who came up with the idea… you didn’t think it was Brit’s idea to sell her duds, did ya? Heck, the producers are probably rejoicing over the fact that the notoriously greasy-fingered guest didn’t take the outfits home with her) the items will include a navy print Juicy Couture dress, a yellow Nannette Lepore dress and a cream Nannette Lepore cardigan with blue flower details, all worn by the reforming pop princess.
There’s also a rumor out there that the meltdown prone star might autograph a few of the items in an effort to raise more money.
Someone who I seriously doubt will be bidding on Brit’s body-hugging ensembles is her ex-husband Kevin Federline.
The wannabe rapper turned wannabe actor just celebrated his 30th birthday at a ritzy Las Vegas nightclub with his ex-girlfriend Shar Jackson and his divorce attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan… and about 20 other family and friends.
Seriously, what does it say about K-Fed that he’s partying in Vegas with his ex-girlfriend (and mother of two of his children) and his divorce attorney?
More importantly, what does it say about Federline’s attorney?
Doesn’t Fed-Ex have any real friends?
According to reports, Federline drank the night away (and we’re not talking club sodas with a twist of lime) and sang along to tunes by Jay-Z and Kanye West. Witnesses say that Britney’s ex even danced on the couch at one point during the night. Mind you that was before he grabbed a microphone to give a rambling profanity-laced speech about losing money in a casino.
Obviously, money is not the only thing Federline is lacking.
