It was announced today that Robin Williams’ wife, Marsha Garces Williams, filed for divorce in the San Francisco Superior Court on March 21, listing the reason as irreconcilable differences. The two have been married for 19 years and have two children together, Zelda and Cody. The two met when Marsha was the nanny of Williams and his first wife Valerie Valardi. That couple had one child, son Zachary.
Williams’ agent said the two are splitting, but offered no more information. Personally, I love Robin Williams, but it is a wonder she could put up with him for 19 years. He is a comic genius, but if he acts anything at home like the spazzoid persona I have seen on award and talk shows, she deserves a medal.
Richie Sambora entered rehab not too long ago (last summer), but now he has been arrested for DUI. A Laguna Beach officer noticed his Hummer weaving in between lanes late Tuesday night and pulled over the rock-n-roller. He failed field sobriety tests and was arrested. Richie will have to appear in court on May 7th for one misdemeanor count of DUI.
I mentioned the other day that the “King of Tejano music” Emilio had been critically injured after he had been thrown from his tour bus. News has now leaked that he was driving the bus, even though he did not have a license to do so. The doctors had warned fans that his condition was very grave and he might not make it.
Today, even though neurosurgeon Dr. Alex Valadka still cautioned that Emilio could take a turn for the worse, he said he feels “optimistic that he will not die” and “he’s done about as well as can be expected.”
Emilio remains in critical condition at the Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston, TX and is expect to be in there for up to two weeks. Right now, he is still in a coma and until he awakens, the doctors won’t know how much brain damage he may have suffered.
