LDS Week in Review – March 24th – 29th

Life never seems to get less busy! If you were too swamped to join us here in LDS, here’s your chance to get caught up.

We began with an article from Miriam entitled, “Food Storage Items Available Online.” She tells us about the things she found at the Church’s website, including a pamphlet that tells us how to cook the foods we’ve purchased. It’s important that we remember to include foods to flavor our grains and that we not purchase items that family members may be allergic to.

At the same time, we can prepare for our spiritual droughts by remembering the parable of the ten virgins and keeping our focus on the things of eternity, which will help sustain us when our trials become severe.

We continued our Scripture Study series with 1 Nephi 15:1-6 and 1 Nephi 15:7-11. We also read a review of “Caleb’s Quest,” a Choose Your Own Adventure-style book for children set in Book of Mormon times. Go with Caleb as he joins the Nephite army as a page.

Teaching Consequences” reminds us that while we are teaching our children about free agency, we also need to teach them the consequences of using that agency.

In “Defining Moments,” Miriam shares a personal experience she had recently that made her look at life in a whole new way. While waiting for diagnosis for a medical condition, which thankfully did not prove to be life-threatening, she had the chance to reprioritize and to come to basic understandings about herself and her situation. We’re so glad you’re doing well, Miriam!

Tristi answers the question, “Do Mormons Think They Have the Only True Church?” and Miriam shares with us “Tips to Help You Find Time to Read the Ensign.” We also learn ways to “Prepare for General Conference.”

Thanks for joining us for our Week in Review, and we hope to see you soon here in LDS.
