Dumped Trump + Doofus Bachelor = Gag, Cough, Wheeze…

Did you see it too? During a break from the ballroom action on Monday night’s episode of “Dancing with the Stars” the show’s director cut to a two shot of a uniformed Naval officer with his arm around a familiar aging blonde.

I couldn’t believe my eyes. And if I hadn’t heard rumors of their hook up from my brother who saw them frolicking on a beach together in Honolulu a few weeks ago I wouldn’t have believed that former “Bachelor” Andy Baldwin and Marla Maples (a.k.a. the woman that got impregnated with Donald Trump’s second daughter, married for money, and was promptly dumped) were taking their romance on the road.

Sure, enough the duo took time to speak to the press shortly after the popular ABC show wrapped for the night and it didn’t take a chisel to pry open their mouths and have them spill everything and anything related to their pairing.

“We met (last year) and I found her to be very sweet, positive,” Baldwin said of his perky gal pal. “She’s polite and respectful and has a great heart.”

Hmm… I distinctly remember Baldwin using those same words to describe the “love of his life” Tessa Horst shortly after he proposed to her in the “Bachelor” finale. But, hey, I guess if the line works… use it.

In any event, if you care, the two claim they their relationship didn’t become romantic until February. Despite the fact that the two were snapped kissing each other in New York’s Time Square on New Year’s Eve.

Baldwin also revealed that he is in the process of relocating from Hawaii to Washington, D.C., for a new job assignment. As for Maples, she and her 14-year-old Trump offspring live in California and that’s where pretty boy Baldwin says he is planning to stay until his new job starts… so he can be closer to his lady love.

In addition to the miles that the two will have between them once Baldwin moves to D.C., there’s also the issue of the number of years that separate them. The former reality TV star (the male one) is 33 while Maples is 44.

Then again, maybe it’s not an issue.

“She has the mind, body and energy of a 25-year-old,” Baldwin insists of Maples. “When you have a connection with someone, age goes out the window.”

Apparently, common sense does too.

Either that or one (or both) of them has some new show, book, or project to promote in the months ahead.

What do you think about these two hooking up?
