Pregnancy DENIED!

When it comes to announcing baby news some celebrities are a bit more reluctant than others to share their excitement with the world. (More on Ashlee Simpson’s baby news in a bit.) Then, they are those who become the center of pregnancy rumors before they have even conceived.

Take country singing superstar Faith Hill for example. Tim McGraw’s wife and the mother of three young daughters has spent the better part of this week denying reports that she is expecting her fourth child.

The rumors of Hill’s pregnancy started when the blond beauty wore a flowing black top to the 2008 Country Music Television awards Monday night. Two days later the singer’s rep is still denying the reports that the singer has a bun in the oven.

Actor Tobey Maguire can sympathize with Hill since he and his wife have also been the target of pregnancy rumors this week.

Yesterday In Touch magazine claimed they had a “world exclusive” in announcing that the “Spider-Man” star was soon going to be the father of a second child with wife Jennifer Meyer.

The actor’s rep was quick to squash the baby rumor but not before the tabloid printed an article quoting sources as saying, “Jen’s doing great. She had an easy pregnancy last time around, so this time it should also be a breeze… They want at least three kids.”

Meyer and Maguire wed last year and have a 17-month-old daughter named Ruby.

Finally, I said it before and I will say it again it’s going to be very hard for singer Ashlee Simpson to continue to deny pregnancy rumors five months from now when she is about 35 pounds heavier and is snapped entering a hospital.

Jessica Simpson’s little sister had her fiancé Pete Wentz deny rumors they were expecting their first child on Monday. Then, yesterday the 23-year-old pop star dodged questions about her health during an interview with MTV saying, “Some things you want to keep personal and I think that when people deny [pregnancy reports], it’s probably because it’s something they want to keep personal.”

Frankly, I think she should have quit while she was ahead, but according to MTV News, the songstress kept flapping her lips and added: ” I just think it’s an inappropriate question to ask any woman. For me, that’s something that I didn’t ever want to respond to, because I think it’s an inappropriate question.”

So much for putting rumors to rest.
