Guitar Hero World Tour Band Kit

guitar hero Ready to be a star? GameStop has just released the latest information on the upcoming video game Guitar Hero World Tour Band Kit. The bundle for this bit of phenomena of a rock simulator (think Van Halen not mineral) is scheduled to be released tomorrow, on May 27th.

For the bundle price of $189.99, you’ll get the game itself plus the whole band kit. The band kit consists of a drum kit, a new guitar (that is said to be vastly improved from the old) and a microphone. You can also just purchase the guitar kit that includes the game and the guitar controller for $99.99, but you may miss out on some of the game features without the other devices. Finally, if you want to take your chances on having an existing controller that will work with Guitar Hero World Tour, the simulation alone can be purchased fro only $59.99 or $49.99, depending on your system. It is very hush hush as to whether or not other controllers will work. I should have more information after the actual release.

Guitar Hero World Tour, which includes drums this time around has gotten some pretty heavy endorsement by the big name drummers in rock. Blink 182, The Red Hot Chili Peppers and The Police all give their thumbs up regarding the simulation.

Some fun features of Guitar Hero World Tour include an actual battle of the bands, in which eight players can form two bands that will face off online for the prize of bragging rights. The music studio will allow players to create their own music from scratch and then play it back and share it online.

Activision, the maker of Guitar Hero World Tour says the simulation will include the “largest on-disc set list in a music-rhythm game to-date.”

Guitar Hero World Tour will be available for PS3, Xbox 360, Wii and PS2.
