It’s good to be reminded of the big and little ways God provides for us and the everyday blessings we can tend to take for granted. So often we forget to praise God for His goodness. So here is my week of praise and blessings.
I praise God for:
Safety when traveling.
A special time together with family.
My footy team, the Sydney Swans, won.
God’s wisdom in solving a problem with a neighbor.
Enabling leading singing on Sunday and a great selection of songs which fitted in perfectly with the sermon topic.
Our minister’s support and encouragement for the music team.
Challenging and biblical teaching from our minister.
The blessing of being asked to and able to pray for a woman undergoing stressful times.
A relaxing day on Sunday after a busy week.
God’s enabling in getting a lot of writing done.
A husband who doesn’t mind if jobs around the house don’t get done while I’m writing.
A special time for my husband and me around God’s Word and in prayer.
A joyful time teaching children at our local school about Jesus, for their enthusiasm for listening to bible stories and singing songs about Jesus.
Despite the rain a break in the clouds meant we were able to go for a walk where we encountered about ten kangaroos.
God enabling to finish preparations for a writing workshop I was running on Wednesday.
An email and prayer from a friend which said
‘Father, God bless my friend in whatever it is that You know they may need this day! And may their life be full of your peace, prosperity, and power as he/she seeks to have a closer relationship with you………Amen.’
The email also contained this quote from Martin Buxbaum
‘Some people no matter how old they get, never lose their beauty –they merely move it from their faces into their hearts.’
A great workshop, lovely mix of people and positive comments and responses from those who attended. I enjoyed it and they did too.
After the workshop a picnic lunch with my husband by the ocean, enjoying the glorious sunshine.
My husband’s and children’s unfailing support of me in whatever I do.
A visit to the library and lots of great new books to read.
Frank but friendly discussions at Bible study learning more of God’s Word and praying for each other.
Able to play 5 sets of tennis despite some rain which disrupted for a while but was not enough to make the synthetic grass courts unplayable.
Able to pick and use our first lime off our little lime tree.
Writing about my parents’ deaths and grief which was therapeutic for me and something I had not been able to do before.
The joy of music and singing.
Making friends with others with like interests and the new lady who came back to choir and looks like joining.
Good long phone conversations with both my son and daughter at different times.
A busy week writing, but happy with what has been achieved.
Reading the Fannie Flagg novel ‘A Redbird Christmas.’
Positive comments and encouragement from people here at families.com.
Answered prayers.
I’d love to hear your week of praise points and blessings.
