Got Rotten Neighbors? Check on Rottenneighbor.com

rotten Before you make that move to a new home, you might want to check out the neighborhood. Now I am not talking about doing the standard research that any real estate agent gives you; you know the info on school systems and median household income. While those things may be important. It doesn’t matter where you live if you have rotten neighbors.

When I first came to live in Pennsylvania, I lived in a luxury apartment complex in a hot area. It was a very nice apartment, and I enjoyed living there. I didn’t enjoy the neighbor upstairs though. She liked to entertain every night, and it sounded like they were filming x-rated movies up there. I’m a light sleeper, so it would have been nice to know ahead of time, the downside of living there.

You might be able to avoid this kind of situation if you take a look at the website rottenneighbor.com.
Just enter your street address, town or zipcode to get information on the neighbors submitted by other neighbors. It may give you a good insight into the area, good or bad. Granted, many of the people posting must be angry and frustrated, so the website may serve as a venting tool, as well.

Some recent neighbor reports that were spotted on rottenneighbor.com include the following:

  • A video of a guy who throws poop on his neighbors’ doorsteps
  • A woman older than 50 who mows her lawn in thong underwear (presumably if she were younger the neighbor wouldn’t mind, since he mentions the age factor.)
  • Neighbors who painted their house bright orange
  • Neighbors who drive their trash to the dumpster and then throw it out the window of their car onto the ground
  • Neighbors who go on drug or alcohol binges
  • Cat collectors

There are some good neighbor reports as well, which is encouraging. Out of curiosity, I looked up my own neighborhood and didn’t find any reports at all. Whew. My old neighborhood, however, had several, and with the curiosity of a peeping tom, I read a few of the reports.
