While it’s not quite the last day of April, (the 30th falls on Sunday); it is still a good day to take stock of your progress for the month of April. We’re just winding up our Spring Forward to Action 30 Day Challenge. If you participated in that challenge, you might want to use the following questions to give you an assessment of how the month went. If you did your own work out or are participating in the Body for Life Challenge, these are all still valid questions.
- How are your goals going?
- Have you started working towards achieving them?
- Are you encountering obstacles in your path?
- What are the obstacles?
- Are you discouraged or are you challenged?
- Are you still striving towards your goals?
- Have you made it to the mileposts along the road to your final destination?
- What is preventing you if you aren’t?
- Are you feeling good?
- Are you feeling bad?
- If there is one thing you could do right now to improve all of the above, identify it.
- What are your goals for May?
- Are you ready for the Sizzling Summer Slim Down?
- What is your game plan?
- Where will you be in 31 Days?
Consider all of the above questions and answer them honestly. There’s nothing wrong with admitting that you have been lax in some areas and harder in others. Goal checking lets us take a progress report. We get to see where we are and where we need to be. If you decide that your goals need modification, go for it. There’s no law that says you can’t alter your goals.
In fact, you may have set a fitness goal like many do at the beginning of the year. If you feel like you’ve done little or nothing to accomplish that goal, take the first step back towards it and forgive your lack of forward progress. Don’t beat yourself up with regrets. What’s done is done. You can’t change yesterday, but you can make tomorrow happen.
On May 2, we’ll be launching the Sizzling Summer Slim Down and using the Abs Diet as our model. As hard as it is to believe April is over, I am psyched for May. I’ve already been working on adjusting my eating plan to follow the Abs Diet and it’s a lot easier than I thought it would be. I’ve even cut back on my mochas! (My husband thinks that’d miracle in and of itself!) Have a great weekend!
