Regular readers of this blog know that I track travel deals to Hawaii very carefully. And with the recent demise of Aloha Airlines and the skyrocketing price of fuel, bargains to paradise are relatively non-existent. So when I was notified of this next cruise deal to the Pearls of the Pacific my jaw dropped. Some of the Aloha State sailings reflect savings of nearly 50%.
Take a look:
NORWEGIAN
This early-bird special offered by Orbitz is a real steal. It takes place aboard Norwegian’s Pride of America and sets sail in December 2009. The seven-night voyage departs round trip from Honolulu, and calls at Kahului on Maui; Hilo and Kailua-Kona on the Big Island of Hawaii; and two days in Nawiliwili on Kauai. Interior cabins on this weeklong journey are selling for $1,199; oceanview units sell for $100 more. The regular price of this odyssey is $2,049, which means you save 41%.
CARNIVAL
Vacation Outlet is offering spectacular savings on an early-bird Hawaii sailing aboard Carnival Spirit in April 2009. The price for the 12-night voyage has been slashed in half to just $1,299 for an oceanview cabin. The trip departs from Honolulu and cruises toward Canada’s West Coast city of Vancouver, en route taking in five Hawaiian hotspots, including Kauai’s Nawiliwili; Kahului and Lahaina on Maui; and Hilo and Kailua-Kona on the Big Island of Hawaii. Five entire days are also part of the itinerary. Balconied cabins are also on sale with this early-bird special, and are priced at just $1,499.
HOLLAND AMERICA
CruisesOnly is offering an outstanding early-bird deal for this epic Hawaii odyssey. The 15-night voyage sets sail next fall and sells for just $1,499 for an interior cabin (a discount of 32% off rack rates). The luxurious Zaandam hits the high seas round trip from San Diego on November 22, 2009. Your voyage includes stops at five of Hawaii’s most stunning spots — Hilo, Honolulu, Nawiliwili (Kauai), Lahaina (Maui) and Kailua-Kona — as well as Ensenada, Mexico on the way back to California. Eight full days at sea are also covered in the itinerary. Oceanview staterooms are also reduced in price to just $1,699.
