All-Star Returns

Just when you thought Wisteria Lane was down a man-eater, word has it Nicollette Sheridan has agreed to reprise her role as the cunning husband-stealing Edie Britt on ABC’s “Desperate Housewives.”

Sheridan was written off the show at the end of the fourth season, but according to reports, the actress will be back sashaying in and out of the wives’ lives in the forthcoming season.

And for all of you “Desperate Housewives” fans, who were getting sick of seeing Edie steal the men of Wisteria Lane from their respective mates, producers of the show just revealed that Sheridan’s character will be getting a new romantic interest, to be played by new cast member Neal McDonough.

While Sheridan makes her return to primetime singer Bette Midler is celebrating the return of some cherished photos.

Twenty-three years after getting hitched to her artist husband Martin Rochus Sebastian von Haselberg, Midler finally got her hands on photos snapped at her wedding ceremony.

The singer-actress says she and von Haselberg tied the knot in a very small ceremony in Las Vegas in 1984, but never stuck around to see the pictures taken at the event.

The 62-year-old entertainer explains, “We were married in the Starlight Chapel in Las Vegas by an Elvis impersonator. We never got any wedding pictures. Three weeks ago the guy closed the chapel and sent us the pictures, twenty-three years later.”

Midler says she is still in shock, but is thrilled to finally lay her eyes on the only shots taken at her wedding.

Finally, Bon Jovi is returning to their roots.

Well, close to their roots anyway.

The New Jersey band just announced that they plan to perform a free concert July 12th in New York’s Central Park.

The music extravaganza is being billed as a prelude to the July 15 All-Star baseball game, which will highlight the final season at Yankee Stadium.

Lead singer Jon Bon Jovi told reporters today that playing Central Park is a dream come true and added that fans can look forward to hearing some of the band’s biggest hits, including include “Livin’ on a Prayer,””Bad Medicine” and “Blaze of Glory.”
