Oprah: “Obama the Bomb!”

Well, that didn’t take long.

Just hours after hearing news that her “main man,” Illinois Senator Barack Obama, clinched the Democratic presidential nomination, queen of talk Oprah Winfrey released a statement to the media.

“I’m euphoric, I’ve been doing the happy dance all day,” the 54-year-old media mogul said.

“I’m so proud of Barack and [his wife] Michelle Obama and what this means for all of us … the new possibilities for our country. And if he wants me to, I’m ready to go door to door,” added Winfrey, who has been on the campaign trail with the candidate and his family since last year.

And while she didn’t say as much in her statement I’m sure the Obama’s will be seen on Winfrey’s daytime talk show in the months to come.

In the meantime, Michelle Obama is slated to appear as a guest co-host on another popular talk show—ABC’s “The View” on June 18th.

According to show producers, Michelle Obama will guest host much like Cindy McCain did in April.

Being a guest host rather than just a regular guest will allow Michelle Obama the opportunity to interview guests and participate in the opening “hot topics” banter.

Obama’s camp agreed with producers of “The View” that a guest co-host gig will offer Michelle Obama the chance to show off her personality more than just sitting for an interview and talking about herself.

Michelle’s husband, Barack Obama has appeared twice on “The View,” once before his candidacy for president. Meanwhile, Republican John McCain has been on the chatfest several times.

When Cindy McCain was guest host in April, comic Craig Ferguson was the lead guest. According to “View” producers, guests for Michelle Obama’s show have yet to be set.

Show producers say viewers can count on Michelle Obama to speak out about recent jabs from critics who question her patriotism.
