Many women are unhappily married. Likewise many men are also unhappily married. In many cases they remain married. These couples typically have no major event occur that confirms that they need to get out of their marriage. For example there is no infidelity or abuse.
In many cases these couples will experience down times and up times. They will have good moments with each other and bad moments with each other. They key is having the good moments outweigh the bad moments.
Through all of these ups and downs it can be very difficult to get a grasp on exactly what you are feeling a majority of the time.
In some cases, there seems to be many more bad moments because of your strong and intense emotions. When in reality there are only a few compared to your good moments. In other cases women try to convince themselves that they are happy most of the time when in reality they are not.
One way to get a better idea of what you are really feeling is to keep a tally sheet. As silly as it may seem, sometimes it is necessary to actually see things in writing before we can process them in our minds.
If you are struggling with exactly how happy you are in your marriage, then keep track of it. Create a small tally card that you can keep with you in your pocket or purse. On one side write happy or stay or draw a smile. On the other side write unhappy, leave or draw a frown.
Every time that you are feeling happy in your marriage and want to stay with your husband put a tally mark under that section. When you are unhappy in your marriage and feel that it would be best to leave your husband put a tally mark under the appropriate section.
Keep up with the tallies for a few months and see then you can see exactly what your marriage makes you feel most of the time.
