Clay Aiken’s Lucky Baby and Famous Mother and Daughter Team Up for “Dancing with the Stars”

If Clay Aiken’s new son ever visits China he might just be hailed as the luckiest boy alive.

The former “American Idol” contestant and his music producer gal pal Jaymes Foster welcomed Parker Foster Aiken at 8:08 a.m. this morning.

That’s right, the kid was born on 8/08/08 at 8:08 a.m.

(Incidentally, my youngest brother was born on the ninth day of the ninth month at 9:09 a.m., but that was back in the late 70s.)

In China the number 8 is considered very lucky because the Chinese word for eight sounds similar to the word that means, “prosper” or “wealth.”

Unfortunately, baby Parker did not weigh in at 8 pounds, 8 ounces (wouldn’t that have been something). Instead, Aiken reports on his website that his son weighed 6 lbs., 2 oz. and was 19 inches long. According to reports, Parker is Aiken’s mom’s middle name.

Aiken’s mother was the one who broke the news of the baby’s birth, telling a TV station in Raleigh that Foster gave birth at a North Carolina hospital. The newest addition to the Aiken clan reportedly has “dark hair” and “healthy lungs.”

Foster and Aiken are not a couple (Foster was artificially inseminated with Aiken’s contribution), but say they plan to raise Parker together. The singer met music producer Foster (who is the sister of legendary music producer David Foster) when he was competing on “American Idol.” He says they “just clicked” and she went on to produce several of Aiken’s albums… and now his son.

Anything’s possible, right?

That couldn’t be truer than when discussing the latest “Dancing with the Stars” rumors.

Reports confirm that Kim Kardashian will bring her booty to the ballroom after all, but she won’t be the only raven-haired Kardashian clan member doing so. A source close to the show revealed that Kim’s mom Kris Jenner will be also be part of the new season, which will feature a rare mother/daughter battle.

But, perhaps more interesting is the fact that the reality stars will reportedly be partnered with father/son pro dancers Mark and Corky Ballas.

Reports say “Dancing with the Stars” producers tried to work out a mother/daughter dance-off last year and were shooting to land Sharon and Kelly Osbourne, but the network pulled the plug on them because “word got out too much.”
