Not together. Rather, golf phenom Tiger Woods and award-winning rapper Queen Latifah are each preparing to welcome new additions to their respective families.
Woods will be a daddy for the second time later this winter, according to a posting on his official website. The golfing great shared the news yesterday saying that he and his wife Elin are thrilled that their 15-month-old daughter Sam Alexis will soon be a big sister.
The 32-year-old, who is currently off the PGA tour while he recovers from knee surgery, says he and Elin are “excited” about adding to their family, though Woods did not reveal whether they know the sex of the baby.
Woods’ new addition would make a great playmate for Queen Latifah’s new baby.
According to the National Enquirer, the 38-year-old rapper whose real name is Dana Owens is in the process of adopting a child from the United States. But the tabloid says the first time mom-to-be is not planning to enter parenthood alone. National Enquirer reporters say Latifah is currently dating her female personal trainer Jeanette Jenkins and the couple is hoping to welcome a baby by Christmas.
The “Chicago” star has made it no secret that she wants to be a mom. Back in June she hinted that adoption plans were already in the works. The Grammy-winning rapper has also been vocal about adopting from the United States.
“I can understand why people go outside the U.S.,” Latifah told reporters earlier this year. “You can adopt someone here, and the birth parents have three years to come back and get that child. That’s terrifying, but American children can use just as much assistance as someone from around the world. I want to do something here.”
The rapper turned model turned actress says she hasn’t requested a specific gender; rather she just wants the opportunity to provide a safe and loving environment for a child who needs it most.
