Somethings are just too embarrassing to admit. Okay, so most of us have been there before. We’ve waited and wondered if it was the right time, or if we should just wait for a few more weeks. But some things happen even when you don’t expect them too.
I guess I shouldn’t be too surprised at it happening. After all, everything around me seems to be screaming out to me that it is the right time now. Every time I go into a store, for example, I feel as though I am surrounded with Christmas decorations, trees, and even music. Which brings me to how it all occurred this morning.
It started innocently enough. The two youngest children were having a hard time settling down at the table, and I was trying to work. I took out two jingle bells that I found in the top pantry drawer. This drawer tends to collect things that are normally taken away from kids during dinner, so I knew I would find something good. The jingle bells did the trick, and soon they were singing “Jingle Bells.”
But then they wanted to listen to “Jingle Bells.” I obliged using a clip of the song that I found online. After about 20 repeats, the kids moved on to something else, and we got through the rest of the morning. I got them settled down for naps, took out my laptop again and proceeded to work. But then I couldn’t help myself. I went over to Holiday Music on the Web http://computers.families.com/blog/holiday-music-on-the-web and was soon listening to Brenda Lee rocking around the Christmas tree. Gasp! What was I doing? By the time Perry Como came on, I sheepishly closed out the window.
Have you listened to holiday music, yet this year? Please tell me that I am not the only one.
