A Week’s Worth of Fun Thanksgiving Activities for Kids

Looking for some bright ideas to keep your little turkeys out of the kitchen while you prepare your family’s Thanksgiving feast? The following holiday-themed activities will not only keep your children busy, but also they’ll yield a bounty of treasures to share:

November 17th–—How to Have a Thrilling Thanksgiving. For the first time since opening in 1964, Universal Studios Hollywood will be open on Thanksgiving Day. So, ditch your dysfunctional relatives and head to a place where the thrills and chills don’t involve yelling about who’s getting the last drumstick. If you’re not big on thrill rides take a look at the other family-friendly Thanksgiving related activities being offered around the country.

November 18th—–Keeping Kids Busy on Thanksgiving. Kids love to lend a hand during the holiday season. Put their hands and imagination to work on the craft projects featured in this blog.

November 19th–—Fun Ways to Keep Your Kids Entertained on Thanksgiving. Michele Cheplic was born and raised in Hilo, Hawaii, but now lives in Wisconsin. Michele graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a degree in Journalism. She spent the next ten years as a television anchor and reporter at various stations throughout the country (from the CBS affiliate in Honolulu to the NBC affiliate in Green Bay). She has won numerous honors including an Emmy Award and multiple Edward R. Murrow awards honoring outstanding achievements in broadcast journalism. In addition, she has received awards from the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association for her reports on air travel and the Wisconsin Education Association Council for her stories on education. Michele has since left television to concentrate on being a mom and freelance writer.
