Not together, though, that would make for an interesting blog… and potential TV movie.
Comedian turned talk show hostess Ellen DeGeneres and her partner Portia de Rossi are reportedly adding to their family. According to Star magazine, de Rossi plans to undergo fertility treatments in a few months.
Sources tell the magazine that the couple would love a son, but will be happy with “any healthy baby.”
News of de Rossi’s pending IVF treatments comes as DeGeneres confirms that she will step away from her talk show when her contract ends in 2010.
In previous interviews, the famous female couple revealed that they were pursuing adoption options. However, it now appears they have decided to try for a biological child. The TV personality wed actress de Rossi last year, and at the time, told reporters that they plan to live a quiet life on a farm once DeGeneres ends her talk show.
In other star baby news… Charlie Sheen says he and his wife Brooke Mueller are ready for their twins to arrive.
After a surprise visit to the hospital earlier this week for premature contractions, Mueller is reportedly back home putting the final touches on the nursery.
In addition, the couple is busy organizing a baby shower scheduled to take place tomorrow. Sheen told reporters that he and Mueller are planning to donate some of the shower gifts to charity.
Sheen tells PEOPLE magazine, “I am invited (to the shower). Apparently, I don’t have to do anything, just show up and collect gifts. But there will be more stuff that goes to charity. People that don’t need it get the most stuff, and that’s what’s wrong with the world.”
The actor confirmed that his wife is carrying twin boys, but would not reveal names that they are considering.
Sheen is also dad to three daughters—4-year-old, Lola and 3-year-old, Sam, with ex-wife Denise Richards and 25-year-old Cassandra from a relationship with high-school girlfriend Paula Profit.
