Your boyfriend is talking marriage and you’re not even confirming that you’re dating.
Such is the case with actor Jamie Kennedy and his “Ghost Whisperer” co-star Jennifer Love Hewitt.
A clearly smitten Kennedy has been flapping his lips about his reported hook-up with Hewitt, but she has yet to confirm that the pair is dating.
Yesterday Kennedy called Ryan Seacrest’s radio show, comparing his and Hewitt’s “intense connection” to characters in the hit vampire franchise “Twilight.”
He told Seacrest: “Yes, we are dating. Wow, I’ve never said that. We’re more than dating… we’re more than in love. We have an intense connection. She’s my Bella. I don’t want to bite her neck, but I want her to live… I’m in love, and I don’t care!”
Whoa!
But that’s not all, the 38-year-old actor then revealed that his romance with Hewitt was unexpected: “I thought something would happen in my 40s. Hollywood makes us on our own train, and it’s like I have a co-conductor now.”
Oh my…
Well, it looks like Kennedy’s “co-conductor” may not share the same intense feelings. According to reports, Hewitt is staying tight-lipped about the new relationship, perhaps because she just called off her engagement to Ross McCall three short months ago.
The couple reportedly jumped on the love train when Kennedy joined Hewitt to celebrate her 30th birthday a few weeks ago.
Despite, Hewitt’s lack of public affection for Kennedy, the actor told Seacrest that he is clearly whipped.
“It’s like, ‘Wow, you are hot. You can sing, you can dance, you’re, like, so smart and, wow, you can cook pasta fagioli too.’ ”
Hewitt may be remaining mum, but some of her pals say they are not surprised that she jumped back into the dating pool so soon after calling off her engagement. Hewitt’s pals say she struggles to be alone and needs a guy by her side at all times.
Hmmm… Kennedy may be in over his head with this one.
