Taking a Break

Actress Kelly McGillis is taking a break from men.

Yes, Tom Cruise kissed a lesbian, and didn’t realize it.

McGillis, the blonde chick who played Cruise’s girlfriend in the 1980’s blockbuster “Top Gun,” has officially come out of the closet.

The 51-year-old actress confirmed in an interview with the Internet show Girl Rock that she is in fact gay. McGillis also revealed that she is single, and looking… for a female partner.

“Definitely a woman,” McGillis shared when asked whether she was looking to spend quality time with a man or a woman.

“I’m done with the man thing,” the twice married and divorced star told reporters. “You need to move on in life.”

McGillis has two daughters with her second husband, Fred Tillman, but says now that her girls are grown, she’s looking to expand her social circle, and embrace her true sexual identity.

In the meantime, the actress says she is also looking forward to booking TV and movie gigs. The only problem: McGillis is apparently having a hard time landing jobs because she is “taking a break” from something other than men—hair dye. The celeb mom says she refuses to color her gray hairs, and has had several job offers rescinded because of it.

“Dancing with the Stars” pro hoofer Julianne Hough is also taking a break. Not from boyfriend Chuck Wicks, but from the reality TV series that paired the two on the dance floor.

Now that the real-life couple has been given their walking papers from this season’s competition, Hough is confirming that she will not be returning to the ballroom for season 9.

“I’m not doing next season,” Hough told TV’s “Access Hollywood” yesterday. “I’m gonna take one off.”

The 20-year-old pro dancer says she will spend the next few months working on her burgeoning career as a country music singer.

Hough performs next in Hidalgo, Texas, on May 9th.
