We all know she wants to be, but is the socialite’s desire to bear children the reason Paris Hilton’s boyfriend Doug Reinhardt has gone public with his plans to propose to her?
Who knows? Better yet, who cares?
For those who do, it is official, according to British newspaper The Mail on Sunday, Hilton’s boy toy of just five months is reportedly planning to pop the question to the blonde starlet in the coming weeks.
“I am going to ask her to marry me but I can’t say when,” Reinhardt told the paper. “I don’t want to ruin the surprise.”
A source adds, “They have been dating for five months and Doug has already said he’s going ask Paris to marry him in a couple of months. He doesn’t see the point in waiting around. He will ask her to marry him sometime this summer.”
Hilton has been dating the baseball player since January, following her split from rocker Benji Madden in late 2008.
Rumors have been flying in recent weeks regarding the pair’s plan to walk down the aisle. Reinhardt’s confirmation of an imminent proposal means that the hotel heiress is either pregnant or is simply working to keep her engagement streak going. Hilton was previously engaged to model Jason Shaw before they split in 2003. She also broke off plans to wed Greek shipping heir Paris Latsis in 2005.
So, will the reality TV bombshell make it to the altar this time?
If she does, it’s a good bet that Elizabeth Taylor will score an invite (goodness knows she has had plenty of practice in the marriage department), but she’ll have to get out of the hospital first.
The 77-year-old actress entered the hospital for “a routine visit,” according to her publicist, but she ended up staying longer than planned and is “tweeting” pals about her unhappiness with her situation.
In addition to complaining about her bed, the celebrity Twitter fan is reportedly using the social networking website to request that her friends bring her certain things while she is in the hospital.
Taylor’s rep confirmed that the award-winning actress used the blogging site to ask friends to try to smuggle her beloved new puppy into her hospital room.
No word on whether the friends complied.
