Sweet Deals on Summer Vacation Favorites

Mexico and Florida are among the top summer vacation destinations for families, and now they are more affordable than ever. The deals are so incredible that even if you feel as though you are caught in the teeth of the recession, you may be able to swing a much-deserved break and have fun in the summer sun.

Here’s a list of some of the most tempting offers available right now:

MEXICO

The Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita, which is conveniently located less than an hour from Puerto Vallarta, boasts a 26-acre private sanctuary for families who are in need of serious R&R. The resort is surrounded by dramatic views of the Pacific Ocean and gentle bay waters of Bahia de Banderas. You and your children can frolic in three pool areas (including a lazy river), eat at four restaurants, or play on two golf courses. The resort also includes a spa, and a complimentary full-day kids’ program that features pinata-making and Mexican art lessons.

All this fun typically comes with a hefty price tag, but for a limited time the resort is running a “One, Two, Three, Four” sale that is too good to pass up. For every four nights you stay, you’ll receive a jaw-dropping $1,234 resort credit that can be used toward any charge you incur, including your room. Nightly rates for a garden-view room start at $415 for stays through September 30. So while a four-night stay would normally start at $1660, you can apply the resort credit and slash your price tag down to just $426. It’s like getting three nights free and it brings the per-night rate down to just $107 a night. Amazing!

FLORIDA

Hammock Beach Resort sits just south of St. Augustine, Florida and overlooks two miles of pristine Atlantic shoreline. The boutique hotel-style boasts multiple-bedroom villas and condos. Though, the best part is that it has a ton of activities to keep kids of all ages happy, including kayak nature tours, a spa, tennis courts, two golf courses, and a six-acre waterpark complete with a lazy river, twisting waterslide, and a spectacular zero-entry sand-bottom pool designed with little ones in mind.

You can get access to it all for a steal when you take advantage of the “Buy One, Get One Free” sale. The promotion is good through September 30 and offers one night free for every night you pay at the resort’s rack room rate. One-bedroom suites run $300 per night, which means your average nightly rate would be just $150, and the price includes all service fees and taxes.
