Save on a Winter Ski Vacation

I much prefer sunbathing on a tropical island than skiing down an icy slope. However, the deals being offered by ski resorts across the nation right now are so incredible, they actually made me reconsider my upcoming Hawaiian vacation… for like 30 seconds.

If you are aching to feel the rush of flying down the face of a mountain at highway speeds, without having to drain your wallet, then you might consider the following fabulous winter ski deals:

COLORADO

If you are a serious skier, then you can save big by purchasing Vail Resorts’ $599 Epic Pass. The deal offers unlimited season-long skiing at six resorts–Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone and Arapahoe Basin in Colorado, and Heavenly in California.

CALIFORNIA

Ski bunnies and slope shredders alike will go gaga for the deal being offered by the four-diamond Resort at Squaw Creek. For just $310 a night you get lift tickets to Alpine Meadows Ski Resort (located five minutes away), shuttle service and breakfast for two. If you want to make it a family affair you will only have to shell out $22 per day for kids 5-12 for the same perks; ages 12-17 pay $54 a day.

NEW HAMPSHIRE

From now through the end of the season you can get 20 percent off lift tickets at 18 alpine ski areas by ordering through Ski New Hampshire. The catch: You have to buy a minimum of 12 tickets, but they’re transferable and don’t include blackout dates. In addition to the 20 percent savings, the non-profit marketing organization also posts last-minute deals on its website on a daily basis.

UTAH

Head out to Salt Lake City to shoosh down the slopes and you can get a fourth day of skiing and lodging for free. Several Salt Lake City hotels and ski areas are participating in the deal, which allows you to get the fourth day of skiing and fourth hotel night free if you book three nights at the regular price.
