“Blinkie” and Tear Pad Coupons – Great Double Deals!

Some of the sources of coupons that are great to use are right there in the store! Look for “blinkie” dispensers, which have coupons by the product on the shelf and have a blinking light to get your attention. Look also for tearpads. These are great sources of promotions. Blinkies are often short dated and expire within a month or so, but tearpad coupons will have varying expiration dates.

I visited Publix yesterday, and without too much effort, here is a list of the coupons I picked up while I was there:
Blinkies:
Biz Laundry Detergent $1 Exp 3/15/10
Egg Beaters $1 Exp 2/15/10
Nature’s Source spray cleaner $1 Exp 2/14/2010
Ore Ida Boxed froze Potatoes $1/3 Exp 2/28/2010
Duncan Hines 100% Whole grain Muffins .75 Exp 6/30/2010
Rotel canned tomatoes .55/2 Exp 2/28/2010 (I combined this one with a BOGO coupon and a sale)
Dannon Light n Fit – .60/6 Exp 3/15/2010 (combined this with a sale for 10/$5.00 and an additional printed coupon for $1/6)
Free Dessert with purchase of 5 Weight Watchers Frozen Products Exp 2/28/2010
Bumble Bee Chicken cans $1/2 Exp 5/31/2010
Friendship cottage cheese or sour cream $1/2 Exp 3/31/2010
Tear Pads:
Save $2 on 2 bags Cape Cod potato chips with purchase of 1 Michelob Ultra 12 pack or 2 six packs Exp 2/7/2010
Free Soup, Chili, or Tuna when you buy 2 packages of Sunshine Krispy Crackers Exp 5/15/2010
Keebler Sunshine Right Bites $1/2 Exp 5/2/2010

Every store has different displays. It really pays to shop for forms and tear pad coupons when you do even the smallest shopping trip. You’ll find deals that you didn’t imagine. Often, the tear pads are displayed along with some great sales and in store promotions, so you can use them along with other coupons and rebates. Don’t be a pad grabber; take only what you really need and leave some for the other shoppers. If you are trading with people from other areas, tear pad coupons are a great find since they are not available in all stores or in all areas.
