DVD Review: Yoga for Inflexible People

Yoga helps to increase flexibility. Not everyone is flexible when they first start out and many DVDs don’t take this into account. Yoga for Inflexible People is an excellent choice for people lacking flexibility and wanting to become more flexible.

This comprehensive DVD contains over thirty five practices in four hours of instruction. Choose from a general workout that focuses on the entire body, or practices that focus on a specific area. For example, there are practices that focus on the hips, shoulders, back, etc. In addition, this DVD has options for an energetic practice or a peaceful, more relaxed practice.

There really is something for everyone in this DVD. In each of the categories, there are a few different practices. These range in length and intensity. Choose from practices in fifteen minute segments up to seventy five minute practices.

If you are looking for a DVD that offers a lot of variety, this one is an excellent choice. A common complaint about yoga DVDs is they are often limited to one or two practices. This one has so many different options that you won’t get bored any time soon.

Unlike DVD practices that contain little variety, this is one you can grow with. The different levels and intensity of the different practices allow you to start off slowly and gradually increase the time and intensity of your practice to meet your changing needs. This is a truly unique feature among yoga DVDs.

The instructor, Judi Rice, uses a variety of props to help students with little flexibility become more flexible. Some of the props used in this practice include yoga blocks, straps, blankets and a chair.

This DVD offers benefits for beginners, as well as students who have been practicing for a while, but still need to improve flexibility. It is also a good choice for yoga teachers interested in helping their less flexible students increase their flexibility.
