Top Ten Reasons to Exercise

Today I would like to share the top ten reasons to exercise. Sometimes we need to be reminded of the benefits and why it’s worth the challenge and time. It can be a great motivator.

Working backwards, the number ten reason to exercise is to improve your breathing. When you first begin to exercise you will notice that you are easily short of breath, just as you might be walking up stairs. However exercise will improve your breathing.

The ninth reason to exercise is that it improves your body’s overall strength.

The eighth reason to exercise is that it helps improve your balance. With improved balanced comes less chance at getting injured.

The seventh reason to exercise is to keep you productive. Exercise will motivate you to keep productive in other areas of your life as well.

The sixth reason to exercise is that it helps eliminate back pain which is a frequent complaint from people. The improved flexibility from exercising will prevent back pain.

The fifth reason is perhaps the number one reason for many people but it’s because you will have a leaner body. If you are looking to lose weight you can’t do it with just healthy eating. You also need to incorporate exercise in order to shed those pounds.

The fourth reason to exercise is that it helps alleviate stress. You are better able to deal with stressful situations when you are in shape and feeling healthier.

The third reason to exercise is that you just feel better about yourself. Nothing brings more satisfaction than to know that you have done something good for yourself. That can really boost your self-esteem.

The second reason to exercise is because you will have so much more energy. It has only been within the past year that I have become an exerciser and let me tell you, for years I was plagued with fatigue. I always associated it with being a mom, working or just my busy life.

However the fatigue was due to a lack of exercise. I was amazed at how quickly my energy level went up. It is so much nicer to get through the day without feeling like I need a nap.

And the number one reason to exercise is because it is good for your health. I cannot express to you enough how many diseases and medical conditions could be avoided if only we lived healthier lifestyle that includes a healthy diet and exercise.

Not only am I a blogger but I freelance write web content and one of the topics that I write about frequently is disability. After all the research I have done on diseases and medical conditions, I am more than convinced that it’s not worth being sick or suffering with a medical condition simply because I am too lazy.

Osteoporosis, high blood pressure, heart problems and diabetes are just some of the conditions that can be avoided by exercising. So now you have the top ten reasons to get out there and exercise. What are you waiting for?
