So, when you are absolutely obsessed with scrapbooking, you realize it almost daily. I decided that I was going to take a week or so break for creating any new layouts. Last month, I participated in several scrapbooking challenges online, and had a good time doing it. But, that was also time consuming for me. I love getting the feedback on my own layouts, and getting to see the creativity of others’ too. But, it was a lot of work. So, thus the needed vacation. But, then tragedy struck. I bought more supplies. And, you know what that means….when you buy more supplies, you have to use them! Plus, I ordered about 200 pictures off of Shutterfly.com to get busy on too. I can’t wait until they get here.
That’s how scrapbooking goes for an obsessed scrapper like myself. You need a break, but you just can’t help yourself! Here’s how to know if you are obsessed with scrapbooking:
*You wake up first thing in the morning, and have an idea for a layout in your head.
*You dream about scrapbooking.
*Your children just want to cut and glue all the time. You’ve heard of monkey see, monkey do, right?
*You won’t let yourself walk down the scrapbooking aisle at Target in fear of seeing something your scrapbook pages can’t live without.
*You spend hours trying to think of the perfect idea for a scrapbook page just so you can share it with others.
*You gather supplies, and more supplies, and more supplies.
*You scrapbook at least once a day.
*You create a layout in your mind before you even take the photo.
*You take a photo just because you want a certain scrapbook layout for your album.
The list goes on and on for me. I am guilty of some of those. OK, I’ll be honest, all of them. But, I just can’t help myself! Yesterday a good friend of mine who has a “connection” to cheap scrapbook supplies brought some over that she had purchased for incredibly cheap!! I bought about $100 worth of supplies from her, for a mere $22. I don’t think I’ll be taking that vacation from scrapbooking this week. Maybe next week.
