Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas dieters! I hope each and every one of you has a wonderful Christmas full of delights in the low calorie variety. Today is a difficult day for many who are trying hard to resist the delicious, high fat, high calorie food that will surround them today. Enjoy your holiday and just think health, friends and family. Go ahead and have a nibble of a gingerbread man or a slice of pie, just be sure to be wise, be healthful, and control your portions. Christmas does not have to stay with you on your hips for the new coming year.

As you go along your merry way today enjoy the holiday and let go of pressure from yourself or others. Be an encouragement to others you know dieting today. Band together to have a lovely Christmas where the tradition centers more on laughs than pumpkin pie. Think about being the one who slices the cheesecake for everyone so you can do everyone a favor by controlling portions. Be sure to bring plenty of food options for all that are tasty and low in fat. With all the dieters this year I am sure they will thank you for this thought and encouragement.

I also want to extend a thank you for your support. When I began writing for Weight Loss, I was not sure if I could walk worthy of this column being I was in need to lose weight myself. However, the research, the support and encouragement this column has brought to me is a gift. As I chronicle my success, I hope to chronicle your success as well. I hope to be an encouragement though my struggles and triumph as we are all in this together. Have a wonderful holiday and I hope to see you back here soon!
