Finally I come to the beginning of the end of my look at the many Adventures by Disney. Today I start my examination of what AbD’s got on offer for its home continent of North America. This blog will focus on the tours in Alaska and the Canadian city of Vancouver.
The nature lovers should revel in AbD’s trip to Alaska. Travelers will spend 8 days and 7 nights touring the U.S.A.’s largest state. As you might guess, the Alaska Family Vacation focuses on the wide variety of nature activities available in the state.
Visit and learn the history of the Iditarod, one of the most famous sled races in the world. That trip will of course involve a meeting with the great dogs themselves and the latest litter of puppies. Track packs of wolves with radio telemetry, taught to you by a guide from the Murie Science and Learning Center.
Speed across glacial waters on a jet boat to reach a trapper’s camp where you’ll pan for gold. You’ll get myriad “front row” views of Alaska’s frozen beauty, as you’ll cruise amongst the fjords and glaciers of Kenai National Park and take a float amongst the icebergs surrounding the huge Spenser Glacier.

Zip-line along the Grouse Mountain, view the forests surrounding the city along the Capilano Suspension Bridge, and explore the tree-lined pathways carved through the heart of the city in Stanley Park. And of course there will be plenty of time for shopping in and exploring the town.
