I am not a dancer. I am not a runner. I am someone who wants a fun and effective workout. I am someone who gets bored easily with DVD workout programs. However, I do like the concept and have enjoyed many through the years. Having four kids, running my own business and writing until my fingers get a workout, I need something I can count on when it comes to working out. I cannot always count on going to the gym or for the weather to allow me to go outside. Even if I did go outside I would not run anyway. This brings me to DVD home videos. The ability to work out at home provides you flexibility which is essential for a busy lifestyle. It also allows you to work out even if you are in old shorts, have a sick kid or you only have a short about of time in between loads of laundry.
Enter in Dance and Be Fit: Hip Hop Cardio. This DVD features Sarita Lou who holds an undergraduate degree in dance and currently works as a dancer and choreographer for music videos, film and theater. Wait…I am not a dancer. At least not since I was in dance class and performance back in elementary school. Well, you don’t need dance experience you just need to be willing to have a good time and workout. You can choose from two different 20 minute programs to keep you from getting bored. The workout is effective, fun and makes you excited to get up the next day and do it again. What else could anyone ask from a workout DVD? The two programs, Old School and Sexy Sculpt, are both enough fun that I honestly considered doing both in one day. Who knows, I may be a dancer yet!
