Get a Free Coffee At Barnes & Noble – This Saturday Only!

BN coffee What are you doing this Saturday? Perhaps your plans include running some errands, or doing a little shopping. Stop in to your local Barnes & Noble bookstore this Saturday, and get a free coffee. All you have to do to get it is take a few moments, and try out their brand new nookcolor.

The nook is the Barnes & Noble version of an electronic book reader, or eReader. It is a tablet type device that is designed specifically so that a person can put an ebook onto it, and read the entire book directly from the eReader itself. The nookcolor, as the name suggests, has a full color screen. It is the updated version of the original nook, which was only had a black and white screen. Each version of the nook has a back lit screen, which is supposed to be easier on a person’s eyes than a typical computer monitor would be. In order to load books onto the nookcolor, or the original nook, you need to purchase them from the Barnes & Noble website.

The nookcolor has built in wi-fi, which makes it a bit more competitive with other eReaders, many of which came with that capability in their very first versions. The wi-fi on the nookcolor lets you check email, surf the web, and read blogs. One would think it also makes it that much easier for you to download the ebooks you purchase from the Barnes & Noble website directly onto your nookcolor. You can also read magazines on the nookcolor, and see the images in color, which you couldn’t do on the original version of the nook, with it’s black and white screen. This new version of the nook has ways that you can personalize some of it, and also has some fun little extras that you can check out, (including games and the ability to stream internet radio).

Go into a Barnes & Noble store this Saturday, February 26, 2011, and try out the nookcolor. You need to go to the counter where the nookcolor eReaders are displayed. Allow the Barnes & Noble worker who is behind that counter to give you a full demonstration of device. After the demonstration is over, you might want to take a few more minutes to play around with the nookcolor, and see what you think about it. Compare it to your current eReader, or to other eReaders that you have tested out. Ask the bookseller who did the nookcolor demonstration for a coupon that will get you a free coffee from the Barnes & Noble cafe.

The Barnes & Noble cafe will be located somewhere inside the Barnes & Noble store. This not a Starbucks cafe, but they do serve Starbucks coffee. The coupon you got from the bookseller at the nookcolor counter is good for one free non-customized tall sized Starbucks fresh brewed coffee. You can get it hot, or iced, whichever you prefer.
