March has ended, has your diet or weight loss program? I certainly hope not. If you have a goal in mind stick to until the end! As spring comes the sun begins to shine and you begin to realize that if you do not work out now those shorts will never fit. I have shorts just waiting for me to fulfill my promise to wear them again. I think the storage is making them batty so it is my duty to get them out in the world again. I would hate to think of them suffering in the dark waiting for the day I hold them again. Wait, I think I have seen Toy Story too many times.
This past month we were introduced to chocolate water and grape flavored apples. The unusual combinations of flavors and textures could possibly quash cravings for sweets. We also learned of other fun options like Sensible Portions and Genesis Juice. My favorite of new food alternative this month is Sensible Portions. Truly manna falling from the sky! You must try the Rosemary Olive Oil Veggie Straws and the Salt and Pepper Potato Straws. I also shared a few recipes to give you more options for food rather than snack type foods. Have you tried any? What is your favorite?
After mindset and eating right another essential element to weight loss is exercise. At one time in my life I worked out five days a week and was in super great shape. As the years passed and children entered the picture those days are but faint memories. It is my commitment to me and my family to revive those memories and bring them back into reality. So far, I have been moderately successful. My knee injury is still an issue and will be for life. My other knee is taking the heat and now clicks and will require a bit of attention. Since I know many who struggle with knee issues I have tried to provide some knee safe exercises. Sometimes we feel working out is impossible when our knees hurt. However, it is important to build up the muscles in the legs for optimum knee health.
See you in April but hoping to see “less” of you!
