Review: Michael’s Crafts

If there is a Michael’s Crafts in your area, and you are not familiar with it, you need to check it out. Not only is it a full service craft store with a great selection and reasonable prices, but it is also a family centered establishment that offers fun stuff to do with your kids.

Check out the Michael’s Crafts website for craft items, projects, and kits, as well as to find a store near you. There is a store locator near the top right hand side of the page. You can also sign up for a free newsletter. While there is plenty of great stuff for kids, you’ll also find great craft items that you or another adult craft enthusiast will enjoy.

Michael’s crafts offers free or inexpensive family craft projects, events, and outings, including Kids Club Imagination Saturdays, with fun activities each Saturday for kids between the ages of 5 and 12. The Saturday events are usually between 10:00 in the morning and noon. Dress your kids in play clothes and wear clothes that you won’t mind getting paint on.

They also offer Play and Create Craft Parties for Creative Kids. Birthday parties can be scheduled all week long but they need to be booked 10-14 days in advance. Parties run between one and two hours and each child attending will get to make a cool craft project. You can choose the project you’d like to have featured at the party. There are also party planners available to help you, and parties can be for any reason, not just birthdays. You may want to get together with friends or neighbors and book a party for your kids just to have something cool to do during the summer.

If you do decide to book a party, you can relax knowing that the staff at Michael’s will handle everything including helping the kids with their project. All you have to do is bring food, drinks, and decorations and favors if desired, and kids who are ready to have fun!
