Two Aging Playboys in Trouble

Some men and women think of Gene Simmons and Hugh Hefner as the ultimate playboys. After all, Simmons has been a rock star for almost 40 years. By his own admission, Simmons believes he has slept with almost 5,000 women in his lifetime.

Despite that fact, he has been with his partner, Shannon Tweed, such as it is, for the past 28 years. Although the two never married, they had two children together and seem to live in a harmonious if not exactly monogamous state.

But, that may not be the case anymore. Simmons and Tweed have often bickered about his philandering ways, but could their relationship be coming to an end?

This week, the two appeared on “The Joy Behar Show.” After Simmons made a job about his side women, Tweed walked off the set. She has said she have moved on to a new phase in life (maybe because their youngest is now 18) and won’t put up with his indiscretions anymore.

So, is this the end for Simmons and Tweed…or could it just be hype for tonight’s season premiere of his popular reality show “Gene Simmons Family Jewels?”

Meanwhile, the man who defined the word “playboy,” Playboy founder Hugh Hefner was set to wed his third wife – key word being “was.” The octogenarian saw his 60-year-younger fiance Crystal Harris call off their wedding – just four days before the wedding was to occur.

Hefner tweeted today that “The wedding is off. Crystal had a change of heart.”

Harris, however, had a bit more to say. She posted the following comment on her web page “After much deep reflection and thought I have decided to end my engagement with Hef. I have the utmost respect for Hef and wish him the best going forward. I hope the media will give each of us the privacy we deserve during this time.”

Right now, no word as to what made Harris changer her mind.
