The brand new school year will be starting in late August or early September of 2011. It might seem as though that is still very far away, when you look at the calendar. Can your budget handle the extra expenses that appear when school starts? Save some money by getting the Back to School Savings Pass from Staples.
By the end of the Summer, many parents are anxiously looking forward to when school will start again. You love your kids, but sometimes, after too many hours of extended contact, every parent needs a break. If you are a stay at home parent, you might be really ready to have a few hours of time every day when no one is making a mess for you to clean, calling your name, or knocking on the door the second you enter the bathroom.
One thing that most parents dread about the start of a brand new school year is the expenses that come with it. In addition to new clothing, shoes, and backpacks, there are also required immunizations. Once you fit all that into your budget, you still have to find the money to purchase school supplies. It seems like the lists of supplies that schools want your child to arrive with get longer and longer each year.
One way to help out your strained budget would be to get the Staples Back to School Savings Pass. It is not a credit card, or a membership card that will try and automatically renew itself later on. You can think of it as an extended form of coupon.
Purchase the little green card for $10.00 the next time you visit Staples. Use the card to get 15% off all of the school supplies, backpacks, and calculators, you purchase from Staples from right now until September 17, 2011. The only limitation on this card is that you can use it on just one purchase that you make from Staples on a given day. There isn’t anything stopping you from using it daily, if you so choose.
This deal comes with some restrictions. You cannot use it on “technology”, which, I assume, means things like computers, printers, mp3 players, tablets, laptops, and stuff like that. You also cannot use it on printer ink or toner, flash drives, cases of paper, or furniture. In other words, the Back to School Savings Pass is for the types of things that children typically need to bring with them to school. It is not for stocking up on stuff your office needs, or that your college aged child might want to bring to his or her dorm room.
