Whether you are just thinking about starting your own business or you are in the process of doing so, you are likely to have many questions about many things. Okay, you will probably have questions about pretty much everything. Some of these questions may be highly specific and unique to your exact situation. Others may be questions that have been asked by other entrepreneurs many times before. Today I discovered an online resource where you may be able to find answers to your questions from real people who have started real businesses that have brought them real success.
Sprouter.com is a web site where entrepreneurs like you can submit questions to be answered by experts. We’re not talking experts like your neighbor up the road who designs web sites as a hobby, we’re talking successful entrepreneurs like Aaron Patzer, the founder of Mint.com and Dan Martell, who not only started a business but is also an investor in other businesses. Membership to the site is free, and signing up only takes a minute.
There are many answers to many questions on the site, so make sure that you browse through the answers to the questions that others have asked before crafting your own, unique query. The questions and answers that I found on the site are very diverse, covering everything from business structure and formation to social media, business planning, time management, and more.
One thing to note is that the content of the site is geared heavily towards start-ups. There is a ton of great information about product development, investors, and things like that. Entrepreneurs who are starting out small on a shoestring budget may still find some useful tips here but visit the site knowing that you may have to sift through some content that is not likely to be germane to your situation.
