Gain iPhone App Provides Personal Training

Fitness apps are on the rise. Technology is allowing for so many cool ways to incorporate fitness into your life at anytime, anyplace. And the latest is the Gain iPhone app which provides personalized training.

What I love about fitness apps is that it doesn’t matter where you are, even if you are traveling or on vacation, you can still have access to hiking trails, exercises, instant measuring of your heart rate, BMI calculator, log of your workouts, calorie counter and so much more.

You really can’t go wrong with these cool tools. The Gain iPhone app is available in the App Store for a mere $2.99. You get quite a bit for this low price. It features more than 700 exercises and custom-tailored workouts. This includes plyometric (exercise that produces fast, powerful movements), strength, yoga, calisthenics and the list could go on.

So how does this app personalize your workouts? It is based on information that you provide it including your fitness level, body type, available free time, goals and a number of other things are factored in.

From there it will recommend exact reps, sets and rest times…truly customized for you. And if you get bored easily, it will even create a different workout for each time so that your fitness routine stays fresh.

What this app essentially does is replace a personal trainer, which can be very expensive to hire. You are also usually tied to a set schedule when you hire a personal trainer. So for a mere $2.99 you will have access to workouts that are beneficial, personalized, flexible, and meet your goals.

I have yet to actually purchase an app. I prefer the free stuff but I think I just might have to invest the $2.99 and try it out. What about you…have you tried any fitness apps and what do you think about them?
