I liked my newest “girl” but one side still needed some surgery to put a new implant in. We waited for this side because we wanted to see how the other side came out so we could make sure that they balanced out. I was finally healed and time was here to fix the other side.
Before the surgery I had to decide if I wanted to go for a saline implant like I had already or if I wanted to try the silicone. According to the doctor there had been substantial improvements in the silicone implants. They are now considered safe again and he thought they gave a much more natural look and feel. He said that they gave a much more natural appearance and I definitely won’t have the under inflated water bed boobie again. We decided to use silicone implant on that side this time.
When he put the new implant in he was going to help revise some scars. This was the side that had the skin graft and I think it looked like a little a mini Frankenstein or a quilt. He was very confident that it would make me feel better about the way they looked. I was already happy with one side so I was feeling confident that the other side was going to look just as good.
He did an amazing job correcting the scars and I really did like the silicone it did look and feel so much better. Silicone definitely is the better choice for implants. It moves and looks the same as a natural breast and it is great.
I was much happier with this surgeon and loved his work. If you are in the Dallas area and need a great plastic surgeon just email me and I will give you his information. I have sent some friends of mine to him and they love him too. It is such a big difference between the old surgeon and this one. I am not back to pre-cancer but I am not a quilt anymore.
