Finding The Right Vacuum

I am not a fan of vacuuming, I would rather do just about any job in the house if someone else will just run the vacuum. I don’t know why, it’s not hard, it doesn’t take any longer than anything else I have to do to keep the house clean, I just don’t like it. I know if I don’t regularly vacuum my carpets the dirt will get ground in and not only will it cause stains but the dirt rubbing against the carpet fibers will cause them to break and before you know it my carpet is so raggedy that I’ll have to replace it. I’m a big fan or having the right tool for the job.

Using a vacuum I really like and works well makes the job just a little easier. It’s just a small thing but using a tool I like makes me more apt to do the job. For me the best vacuum in a canister with a beater head. This will get under most of the furniture in my house without having to move it and also makes it easier to do the stairs. I also so prefer a bagless vacuum, too many times I’ve had to try to empty a full bag because I ran out, that is not a fun job, a bagless vacuum gets rid of that headache.

Also make sure the vacuum you pick has all the tools you need. You will be using it on your furniture as well and the carpet and in some places the full size head can’t fit. Once you have those attachments, make sure you use them. It’s also important to use your crevice tool to go around all the edges of the carpets, along the baseboards, around furniture legs and behind furniture. Doing this will not only keep your carpet in better shape but it will also reduce the dust flying through your house.

Use your current vacuum for a while and write down the things you wish you had, then when it’s time to get a new vacuum you will know exactly what will make this job a little easier. Save up and buy the one you really need instead of just the cheapest model, you will be more likely to use it that way.
