Family Tree Magazine released their September 2011 episode on September 26, 2011. Host Lisa Louise Cooke talks about a book called “The Genealogist’s Google Toolbox” that you can get through Family Tree Magazine.

Genealogy Insider Diane Haddad brings you genealogy related news from the Blogosphere. This week, she discusses Archives.com’s plans to add all the US census records, and Ancestry.com’s offer of free access to the 1940 census. Contributing Editor Rick Crume gives you tips about searching online newspaper collections. This is just a little bit of what this episode has for you!

GeneaBloggers has an episode called “Genealogists Bore Their Families – What You Can Do About It”. It was released on September 23, 2011.

FGS released a new episode called “Your Society’s Facebook Presence” on September 24, 2011. Host Thomas MacEntee talks about some of the issues involved with making sure that your genealogy society can properly harness the power of Facebook. He also highlights the Elgin Genealogical Society.

Genies Down Under is a brand new genealogy podcast from Australia. This is a monthly podcast that released an Introduction episode in September of 2011. They have planned out the episodes that will be coming up in the next few months.

Past and Present (the Colonial Williamsburg Podcast), has an episode that was released on September 26, 2011. It is called “First Do No Harm”. Conservator John Watson talks about a paradox. Restoring and repairing old musical instruments could mean erasing their stories. This is something to keep in mind when genealogists think about repairing or restoring family heirlooms.
