One great service that is available through most satellite television subscriptions is BYU-TV. This station is comprised of programming that is related to the gospel. At any given time you can turn it on and be able to welcome the spirit into your home. BYU-TV is also available on many cable stations throughout the country.
The programming covers a wide spectrum. It will air previous devotionals from BYU. It also airs talks from BYU Education week, and other symposiums. There is a show called “Living Essentials,” which offers tips on preparedness and food storage. There are also shows to watch on gardening and cooking. You can also watch choral performances from one of the many choirs at BYU. They also air sports on the BYU channel and will play “Cougar Classics,” which are the most memorable of games for the die-hard fan.
In addition to these programs there is a program designed for teenagers. “Time for Teens” is a program where different prominent, leaders such as Steve Young, address the issues which are facing youth today. “Center Street” is another program that is designed for the youth of the church. “Family Times” offers suggestions and tips to help improve family relationships and ways to create quality family time together.
You can receive a program guide, which will be mailed to you home after donating $40.00 to BYU-TV. This is a service, which is provided through BYU, but they can use additional help to fund the programming that they provide.
If you do not currently receive BYU-TV on your satellite package you may want to look into adding it to your satellite. If you are like me and do not currently receive satellite or cable TV you can stream programs that you are interested in watching. As you look at the schedule make sure that you make the time conversion, since it is listed in Mountain Time. I hope you enjoy this wonderful resource. To learn more visit their website.
