The weeks are really flying by now. The count down is in high gear. Thirty six weeks, for whatever reason, seems to be quite the milestone. With one month of pregnancy left, I really have a lot to get done if a few short weeks!
Day one of week thirty six was on Thanksgiving. While the festivities were wonderful, I started my week with a less the perfect diet and no exercise! Hopefully, everything balanced out in the end. I did get in five days of exercise for week thirty six; the pumpkin pie and bread was absolutely delicious!
On day two of week thirty six, all my thoughts and efforts turned towards preparations for the Christmas holidays. We put up our tree, stockings, and garlands with a switch to more Christmasy scented candles! I also feel that Christmas music is acceptable and we decorated our tree with some lovely holiday tunes in the background. While I did not meet my original goal to have all my Christmas shopping and wrapping done before Thanksgiving, I can proudly say that by the end of week thirty six that my shopping is done and I only have a few items left to wrap!
At thirty six weeks I am still feeling pretty good, although my belly seems enormous, with no persistent pain. I can usually move into a different position and the aches disappear. I am finding that several of my maternity shirts are not long enough to cover my large belly (at this point I am not going to buy any more maternity clothes, what I have will just have to do for the next few weeks!).
At thirty six weeks our unborn daughter is as active as ever and enjoys rolling from side to side in my uterus. With our thirty six week ultrasound, her position of head down was made official! She is getting ready for her arrival too!
