What is 7 Ate 9?
From the Manufacturer
It’s as easy as 1, 2, 3. Players add, or subtract, 1, 2, or 3 to the number on the top card on the pile to determine if they have a card that can be played next. Sounds simple, but with everyone playing simultaneously, the options are constantly changing. The first player out of cards wins.
What my family thinks of 7 ate 9?
Why is 6 afraid of 7? Because 7 ate 9.
That is a joke I am sure we all have heard. My six year old gets a kick out of it so the game started out on the right foot. We are also a family who loves card games like UNO and Pitt so we were excited to start playing. The game is fast moving, exciting, fun, easy to learn, and fun…did I mention fun? My six year old loved playing even though she had no hope of winning but soon her math skills will be sharp thanks to this game. She improves with every game. She must because the rest of us show no mercy. In one day, we played several games. My 13 year old wanted to play over and over again. I have to admit it was the best time I had playing a game in awhile. My son who is good in math even improved his speed. When he first started he was a bit slow but in the end he was keeping up and becoming a real threat to my winning streak. I think my oldest beat me once or twice but who is counting? The game is so much fun and it really helps improve addition and subtraction skills without even seeming like an educational game It is genius!
